About Marla
A collaborative approach to therapy
Dr. Marla Korecky is a licensed psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (#1015216). She offers individual therapy to adults and prioritizes a collaborative, client-centred approach—working with you to identify your evolving needs, preferences, and goals.
Marla integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and mindfulness-based practice. Treatment is tailored to help you gain insight into the areas influencing your current challenges, make meaning of your emotional experiences, and develop the skills to build resilience and confidence.
She considers herself privileged to support individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties including depression, emotion regulation difficulties, anxiety, trauma, stress-related challenges, holistic health and wellness concerns, work-life balance, communication and relationships, and challenges with adjusting to and navigating life transitions.
Professional background
Marla previously worked at Red Fish Healing Centre for Mental Health and Addiction, an integrated treatment facility for adults living with complex concurrent disorders. She also has experience in outpatient interdisciplinary chronic pain rehabilitation programs, community mental health, and primary care settings.

Dr. Marla Korecky is pleased to offer a complimentary 15-minute virtual consultation for prospective clients. Consultations can be booked through the online scheduling platform or by email at info@drmarlakorecky.com.
This consultation provides an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and ask any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. It is also a chance to determine whether working together feels like the right fit.
All fees are set in accordance with the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA's) recommended rate for clinical psychology services.

What are your session fees?
Fees follow the British Columbia Psychological Association (BCPA) recommended rate: $117.50 for a 25-minute session, $235 for a 50-minute session, and $352.50 for an 80-minute session.
Do you accept ICBC or WorkSafe BC referrals?
No. Dr. Marla Korecky does not accept ICBC or WorkSafe BC referrals.
Are sessions covered by extended health benefits?
Many extended health plans cover services provided by a Registered Psychologist. Please check with your provider to confirm coverage details before your first appointment.
